Barnabas specialises in Immigration and Asylum law and related areas and has extensive experience in the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, with onwards appeals to the Court of Appeal.
He regularly undertakes judicial review applications in the High Court in immigration matters. He also advises local authorities and family law solicitors on immigration problems, particularly those relating to children.
Barnabas also represents individuals in terrorism cases and has represented an Iraq national in 'control order' (house arrest) proceedings under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in the leading case of JJ and others, which went to the House of Lords.
