David Medhurst has a practice covering the following areas:
Common law - harassment, cohabitation, TOLATA, property, housing, negligence and contract, child support
Immigration - marriage and family reunion, asylum, extradition, human rights EU and EEA, asylum support, judicial review.
Crime - defence and prosecution, public interest immunity, judicial review, community orders.
Local authority - prosecutions, young offenders, community care and welfare benefits in relation to immigrants, harassment, housing, human rights.
Mr Medhurst founded 4 Brick Court in 1977. It was at this time that he also founded the Immigration team within Chambers.

Mr Medhurst is a regular contributor on seminars regarding community sentencing. He also lectures on behalf of chambers. His most recent lecture Mr Medhurst spoke on TOLOTA claims in Peterborough on 24th April 2008.
