Greg Davies practises primarily in all areas of family law relating to children. He has acted for local authorities, parents and guardians in public law proceedings and has experience in private law proceedings, including contact and residence disputes and Re L hearings. Greg has conducted numerous applications for injunctive relief under the Family Law Act 1996 and is strongly committed to representing women who are victims of domestic violence.
Greg has particular interest in working on behalf of clients with significant learning difficulties and / or mental health difficulties, and has experience teaching children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Greg studied Anthropology before being called to the Bar and has an interest in cases involving cross cultural issues.
Greg also undertakes criminal work in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts and trains probation prosecutors in trial advocacy.
He has worked for the Human Rights Commission in New Zealand and two leading international law firms.
