Hala’s practice consists of family work including private, public law and ancillary relief.
She is instructed by Local Authorities, Guardians and parents alike.
She has a keen interest in the protection of women and children’s issues and the furtherance of such interests both domestically and internationally.
Hala is also interested in forced marriage issues that would encompass domestic violence, and harmful cultural practices.
Hala has a notable interest in the interface between Sharia Law, Islamic culture and participation of minority families in contemporary Britain.
Prior to completing her pupillage in chambers, Hala undertook a LLM in Human Rights. With the experience and knowledge gained Hala is happy to accept instructions relating to children and their removal from the jurisdiction.
