Jonathan is a Bar Council accredited immigration practitioner and member of ILPA. He is experienced in appeals before the Asylum & Immigration Tribunal and regularly appears with notable success in Judicial Review Hearings at the High Court.
His particular areas of practice are refugee law, human rights, deportation/removal, detention/false imprisonment, entry clearance and student leave cases.
He is a specialist in Home Office policy and ‘Abdi-type’ actions against the Secretary of State.
He is a practising member of Chambers' Family Law team, specialising in both Public Law cases and Private Law cases, having acted for Local Authorities, parents and children.
Jonathan also defends all types of criminal matters in the Crown and High Courts.
