Marina Azhar returned to the independent Bar after eight years as in-house Counsel for Essex County Council where she developed her extensive knowledge of public law proceedings and adoption.

As a result her main interest is in Public Law matters that involve neglect, sexual and physical abuse, acting for Local Authorities, Guardians and parents.

Marina has an interest in mental health matters, having dealt with cases and regularly keeps in touch with recent changes in statute and case law.

Marina has delivered a CD lecture on disclosure of local authority records and has participated in the training of social workers and senior managers in social services.
