UK charity aiming to promote justice for children with particular emphasis on a holistic approach by the courts and ensuring that the child's views are fully represented to the court.

Link Icon Child Poverty Action Group

CPAG promotes action for the relief, directly or indirectly, of poverty among children and families with children. It works to ensure that those on low incomes get their full entitlement to welfare benefits by campaigning and information work. It is pretty much a brochure website with some interesting summaries of test cases being supported by the group and some information about their excellent annual publications such as the National Welfare Benefits Handbook and the Child Support Handbook. These cannot be ordered online but there is an order form you can print off and post.

UK based network of child rights organisations including NGOs, UN agencies, inter-governmental agencies, educational institutions and other child rights experts. The website is packed with updating information, publications, and events information covering a wide range of topics relevant to children's rights such as discrimination, education, health and violence against children. Services offered include an email list service and a newsletter.

National charity concerned with law and policy affecting children and young people and publishers of Childright (subscription journal). The site contains the centre´s annual report, information about policy and campaign work and research projects. The Centre also offers an advice and information service and an Education Legal Advocacy Unit.

Euronet is a coalition of networks and organisations campaigning for the interests and rights of children (as defined by the UN Convention). The site contains newsletters, campaign information, links, documents relevant to children´s rights and a bookstore.

The Glasgow Centre for the Child and Society is based at the University of Glasgow and conducts research, offers teaching, consultancy and policy advice primarily in the areas of child welfare, children`s rights, child protection and young people and crime. An academic centre operating at Scottish, UK and European levels, it focuses on internationally recognised priorities for children and young people. The Glasgow Centre for the Child & Society works alongside governments, policy makers and NGOs to effect improvement in the lives of children and young people. It acts as a bridge between academic study and the worlds of policy and practice.

Services offered include specialist subscription access to the reference library and a number of specialist information services such as the Early Childhood Unit and the Children´s Residential Care Unit.

The Who Cares Trust is a UK charity with the aim of improving public care for children who are looked after by local authorities. The Trust publishes magazines for young people in care and runs Care Zone, a secure online community for children in care.
