 American Academy of Paediatrics

US equivalent to the Royal College, this site contains a number of very useful fact sheets, links and clinical guidelines.

 American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons

A national association of colon and rectal surgeons and other surgeons dedicated to advancing and promoting the science and practice of the treatment of patients with diseases and disorders affecting the colon, rectum and anus.

 Archive of Diseases in Childhood

Major journal on children and diseases and injuries (particularly good on non-accidental injury). Even non-subscribers have access to tables of contents, abstracts, archive of material more than 12 months old, full text of one article from the current edition, email alerts etc etc. There is also the facility to purchase an article published in the last 12 months for $8.

US site with lots of useful information about brain injury, including traumatic brain injury.

 Dyspraxia Foundation

Dyspraxia is an impairment of immaturity of the organisation of movement which results in messages not being fully transmitted. Other names for it include developmental co-ordination disorder, motor learning disorder, clumsy child syndrome. There is not an awful lot of information available on the site but you can contact the Foundation for more.

 Equality & Human Rights Commission

Independent body set up by the government to secure civil rights for all including disabled people. Great content on disability issues including legislation, policy, codes of practice, research etc.
