Child Rights in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories

Barristers from 4 Brick Court involved in 2011 Child Rights Delegation to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

A delegation of British lawyers and judges has recently returned from Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories having undertaken a fact finding investigation into the treatment of Palestinian children by the Israeli military.  The project, organised by Greg Davies of 4 Brick Court and funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, involved meetings with Palestinian children, high level Israeli officials and judges as well as detailed briefings from UN agencies and NGOs.

Sir Stephen Sedley and Baroness Scotland QC led the delegation, supported by Marianna Hildyard QC (4 Brick Court), Frances Oldham QC (36 Bedford Row), Judy Khan QC (Garden Court), Jayne Harrill (4 Brick Court), Jude Lanchin (Bindmans LLP), Greg Davies (4 Brick Court) and Marc Mason (4 Brick Court).  Bea Randall (Project Co-ordinator) and Lou Dawson (Media and Communications Consultant) assisted with the organisation of the project.

A report on the delegation's findings will be published on 26 June 2012.
