Barrister

Before committing to a career at the bar, Saoirse was a city councillor, where she gained an in-depth understanding of the position of Local Authorities and came to appreciate the responsibilities facing social work teams in often challenging situations.

Saoirse also worked as an operational manager for a critical NHS team, leading the relationship between medical professionals and patients. This developed her knowledge of medical procedures, hospital processes, and the importance of explaining essential information clearly and expediently.

Whilst studying for the BPC, Saoirse volunteered as an advisor at her university’s pro bono centre, representing clients in their respective private law children matters.
